Laurie Blanchard Vera, OTR/L
Laurie graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 2009 with a Master of Health Science in Occupational Therapy. She gained pediatric experience during her fieldwork placements and through her two-year thesis project, Motor Development and Young Children.
After getting married in 2010, Laurie and her husband moved to Beaufort, SC where she worked in the outpatient pediatric setting. Laurie was happy to move home to Augusta in 2011 and begin work at Therapeutic Interventions with her classmate and good friend, Mallory Lanier.
Laurie has experience working with children with sensory processing disorders, developmental delay, Autism, Brachial plexus injury, and neurological impairments. Laurie is licensed in Georgia and South Carolina, as well as certified nationally through the American Occupational Therapy Association. She has taken continuing education courses with a focus on pediatric intervention including Brain Gym and ball gymnastics.
Laurie enjoys volunteer work with her church and the Junior League of Augusta. She also enjoys spending time with her niece, nephew, and puppy.
