Mallory Lanier, MHS, OTR/L
Mallory is a 2009 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia with a Masters of Health Science in Occupational Therapy. She gained extensive pediatric experience during her clinical fieldwork at Therapeutic Interventions of Georgia, and was delighted to join the team of therapists at Therapeutic Interventions in 2009. She was named Whos Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges during her time at MCG, and was involved as a student researcher in her two year thesis project, Motor Development and Young Children
In 2011, Mallory was able to merge her lifelong passion of dance with her background in pediatric occupational therapy and open Steps of Grace: Ballet for Special Needs, a unique ballet class designed especially for children with special needs.
Mallory lives in Augusta and enjoys spending time teaching dance, choreographing, reading, crafting, and spending time with her nieces.
Steps of Grace
Now in it's fifth year, Steps of Grace has grown from a single ballet class of five children, to four separate classes, with over 30 students. Classes are now offered in both ballet and tap. The goal of Steps of Grace is to provide children with special needs with quality ballet and tap instruction and foster a love for dance.
In addition, this class works on important skills that children with special needs have difficulty learning.
